Plett Surf Life Saving Club
Small club, big heart. Protecting Plettenberg Bay's beaches and nurturing the next generation of lifesavers.
Who We Are
Plett Surf Lifesaving Club encompasses Micro Nippers, Nippers, Juniors & Senior Lifeguards, Paddlers and Social Members.
Children are able to join from the age of 5 years as a Micro Nipper and after the age of 8 they qualify to move up to Nippers followed by Junior Lifeguards at age 14.
Training Days
Traditionally Micro & Nipper training takes place on a Friday afternoon during the Season (October to April). The Club becomes a wonderful gathering place for our children, parents, family and friends to socialize and enjoy the amazing view the Club has to offer!
The Clubhouse is situated in the very heart of Plettenberg Bay at the iconic Central Beach.
Junior Lifeguard training typically takes place on a Sunday morning. What an amazing way to spend the weekend!
Our Paddling crew generally meet up on a Tuesday or Thursday evening for an evening paddle out.
Small Club, Big Heart
The Club is run primarily by volunteers. The Micro's, Nippers and Juniors have a team of incredibly dedicated Coaches who put them through their paces each training session – teaching them the vital skills of sea safety & techniques necessary for the various land & sea disciplines – empowering them to save lives and strengthen as athletes!
Plett Surf Lifesaving Club provides such an amazing truly "Plett" experience for all our members!
